Penny Brass
Penny launched Arran Hideaways in 1998 and the business grew very quickly. Penny is committed to providing a customer friendly service for both holiday guests and property owners whilst trying to maintain a happy working environment for the staff and housekeepers. “A tall order and we don’t always get it right but we do try to listen and learn – there’s never a dull moment in our office!”
Penny was elected onto the Board of Directors of Ayrshire & Arran Tourist Board in November 2003 and is also a member of VisitArran which is committed to improving the quality of our visitors’ holiday experience on Arran. As members of the Association of Scotland’s Self Caterers, Penny tries to ensure that all the staff and the properties they look after maintain those high standards and also provide an excellent service at a local level.
MARIE PARK
Marie is our office manager who takes care of the daily running of the office. If you have a property which you would like us to market for you she is the person to contact. If you have any questions regarding the property you wish to book please give her a call. She works Monday to Friday. Previously before joining Arran HideAways she was joint owner of Island Porcelain which is still in production. She has lived on the Isle of Arran for over 30 years.
JULIE NEWALL
Julie joined us in 2006 as Housekeeping Supervisor, she is a valuable member of our team liaising with both housekeepers who change over the many properties we have on our portfolio, and the owners. If you have any concerns regarding houskeeping please contact Julie who works Monday to Friday. KIRSTY EVANS (MONDAY TO FRIDAY)..................................................JULIA MELLOR (WEEKENDS)
Both Kirsty and Julia are in reservations, Kirsty works Monday to Friday and Julia is our weekend girl. For bookings and general enquiries or to pay your deposit or final balance please contact either one of them. They will be happy to let you know availablilty on any of our properties and process you bookings. Julias main roll is in customer care and over the weekend she is kept busy dealing with guests who are on holiday in our many properties and therefore if you can it is best to call mid week when Kirsty is more available by telephone
Teresa Beckett
Teresa is our Accounts Manager and will be happy to talk to you if you have any queries regarding your statement or account. Teresa works on Tuesdays and Thursdays please contact her on these days. Teresa is also our book-keeper and deals with internal accounts also.
SHEILA SAMS
Sheila takes care of our residential letting properties she works every Wednesday, please contact her on this day if you have any issues or enquiries regarding long-term letting properties on the island.
JIM PARK
Jim is our property manager and takes care of the problems which arise in our properties, he will contact the various tradespeople and arrange for work to be done. He is in touch with the owners regarding their property and makes sure that your property is taken care of throughout the year. He works all day Monday, Wednesday mornings and all day Friday. Jim has lived and worked on the Isle of Arran for over 40 years.
